Chestnuts Hotel News From 1st February 2007, The Chestnuts Hotel is under the stewardship of Colin, Kenny and Alison Blair. So far, there has been a mini-makeover. The food and drink offer has improved and the hotel is looking a lot fresher already. The plans have now been formulated for the future development of the hotel into a Boutique Hotel which is a luxurious, stylish, individually designed with 5 star facilities and amenity and it's hoped that work will commence in Autumn 2008. The plan includes an 80-cover terrace, a new bar where the existing restaurant is, a larger reception area, retention of the existing bar, leading into a 50-cover fine dining restaurant, and a spa facility in the old stable block with the addition of lodges in the grounds of the rear of the property. Our first season of Special Events has been a great success. The events included a Cooking & Tasting Demonstration, a Gourmet Night and a Jazz Supper.
